i have a problem whan i want to start the game it turns black like its going 2 run but then it shut down

THAT ISSUE IS DUE TO OUTDATED DIRECTX9 OR YOUR GRAPHICS CARD DRIVERS

Found Solution to Black screen issue
go to game folder suppose
crogram FilesLeft4Dead
right click RUN_L4D , properties tap to compatibility ,
check run in 640x480 screen resolution
If you have lags in the game go to advanced video setting Disable multi-core

I have successfully downloaded the game but I cant run it. I followed all the messages written in the readme file but still I cant run. Please help me what to do

try updating your directx9 using the directx9websetup file...
go to the folder and run the game using the left4dead.exe file >>RED ICON>>> f i l e f a c t o r y MakedesktopiconKeyboard/Mouse>Allow Developer Console>Enable)
2.] open up the developers console by hitting the ` or ~ key- when you are in the menu of the game, This will open up a console menu, which will have a text area at the bottom, where you can type in.
3.] Type: ip [insert here Your Hamachi ip]. for example ip 5.157.xxx.xxx (you will see yours in big and bold white numbers at the top of the Hamachi window. Type this in. Note that this IP is only for use in Hamachi.)
4.] Type: sv_allow_lobby_connect_only 0
5.] Type: net_start
6.] Type: map [press space and then select the map you want to play from the drop down list].

1. Launch L4D
2. Enable the developers console from the Options>Keyboard/Mouse>Allow Developer Console>Enable
3. Press the button “`” (top left corner of your keyboard) to get into the Console
4. Type in connect HAMACHI-IP-ADDRESS (For example: connect 5.157.xxx.xxx).. IP of your host ONLY!!..
6. Enjoy!
